Overview for Analyze Binary Response for Factorial Design

Use Analyze Binary Response for Factorial Design to analyze a designed experiment that has a binary response. You can analyze three different types of factorial designs that have a binary response:
  • 2-level factorial design
  • General full factorial design
  • Plackett-Burman design

You can analyze your design after you create or define a factorial design and add response data. Response data should be organized in two columns in your worksheet. One column contains the number of successes or events of interest and one column contains the number of trials.

For example, a group of engineers wants to investigate the effects of three factors on a textile attribute that is qualitatively assessed as either pass or fail. After the engineers collect the data, they enter the number of successes (events) and the number of trials into two empty columns in the worksheet and analyze the design.
