Search rules

Qeystone applies the following search rules in the Projects list.
Rules Example
Searches are not case-sensitive. A search for Berlin and a search for berlin find the same projects.
Searches will find all forms or a word or phrase you entered. A search for develop finds projects that contain developed, developer, or development.
Searches apply only to text fields. A search for 30 finds a project that contains Reduce waste by 30% in a text field, but not a project that contains $30,000 in a numeric field.
Searches apply to all projects in the report, not only to the projects in the current column set. A search for Mia Dubois finds a project that contains Mia Dubois in a Project Owner field, even though that field is not displayed in the current column set.
Multi-term searches find projects that contain at least one instance of each term in any field. A search for the names Sanchez, Verma, and Kimori finds a project that contains all three names, but not a project that contains only Sanchez and Verma.
Searches for phrases that are enclosed in quotation marks find projects that contain the exact phrase in a single field. A search for "Green Belt" finds a project that contains Applies to Green Belts and Black Belts, but not a project that contains Applies to Green and Black Belts.
Searches that include phrases in quotation marks and terms not in quotation marks find projects that contain the exact phrase in a single field and at least one instance of the term in any field. A search for "Green Belt" cutoff finds projects that contain Green Belt in a single field and at least one instance of cutoff in any field.
Search regards each of the following characters and symbols as a space:
  • Line break
  • @
  • -
  • /
  • \
A search for asousa@goodell.com finds projects that contain asoua and goodell, but not asousa@goodell.com.
