Overview for Calculator

Use the Calculator to create formulas and to store the results in columns or constants. You can calculate the formula a single time or assign it to a column or a constant, so that the results are updated when the data change.

For example, a quality engineer records the number of parts that are produced each hour by two machines, and wants to calculate the total number of parts produced each hour. The engineer enters this expression in the Calculator and stores the results in C3: C1 + C2.
