Toolbars and the status bar

Toolbars provide a quick way to execute a command.

Minitab toolbars

Minitab can display the following toolbars:
  • Standard: Access basic Minitab file tools, edit tools, navigation tools, and Help.
  • Worksheet: Assign formulas to columns; insert or clear cells, rows, and columns; move columns; and move to the next or previous brushed row.
  • Assistant: The Assistant helps you to choose the right analysis from a limited set of analyses, perform the analysis, and interpret the results.
  • Regression: Analyze and graph regression models.
  • Binary Logistic Regression: Analyze and graph binary logistic regression models.
  • Poisson Regression: Analyze and graph Poisson regression models.
  • General Linear Model: Analyze and graph a general linear model.
  • Mixed Effects Model: Analyze and graph a mixed effects model.
  • Screening Designs: Create, analyze, and graph screening designs.
  • Factorial Designs: Create, analyze, and graph factorial designs.
  • Response Surface Designs: Create, analyze, and graph response surface designs.
  • Mixture Designs: Create, analyze, and graph mixture designs.
  • Taguchi Designs: Create, analyze, and graph Taguchi designs.

Click a toolbar button to perform an action or to open a dialog box.

Tip

Hold the mouse pointer over the tool to get more information about the tool.

Show, hide, and move toolbars

When you first start Minitab, the Standard toolbar and the Worksheet toolbar are visible. You can hide these toolbars and select other toolbars to show.

To show or hide a toolbar, choose View > Toolbars, then select or deselect the toolbar.

Minitab toolbars are detachable. You can drag them anywhere within the Minitab environment. Detached toolbars always remain on top of windows.

Tip

You also can show, hide, create, or delete toolbars. Choose View > Customize and click the Toolbars tab. For more information, go to Customize menus, toolbars and shortcut keys.
