Define Custom 2-Level Factorial Design

Stat > DOE > Factorial > Define Custom Factorial Design

Complete the following steps to specify which columns are the factors in the design.

  1. In Factors, enter the columns that contain the factor settings for each experimental run.
After you specify the factors, you can click the buttons that let you specify the remaining information about the design.
  2. Click Low/High. Minitab Statistical Software will not define the design before you review the low and high levels of the factors.

In this worksheet, Time and Temperature are numeric factors. Catalyst is a text factor. The factors are the only columns that Minitab requires to define a design.

The columns Blocks, Standard Order, Run Order, and Center Point contain optional information that you can specify if the information is in the worksheet. If this information is not already in the worksheet, then Minitab creates these columns.
