Use Run an Exec to execute a series of Minitab session commands saved in an exec file. You can create an exec file in a text editor such as Microsoft Notepad. You can nest execs. That is, you can write one exec that invokes another. You can nest a maximum of five execs.

  1. Create and save an exec file in a text editor. Name the file using the *.MTB file extension.
  2. Choose File > Run an Exec.
  3. In Number of times to execute, specify the number of times to run the exec. Executing an exec several times is useful for simulations and looping operations.
  4. Click Select File. Browse to and select the exec file, then click Open.
