What is the degree of a lattice?

The degree of a lattice determines where (vertices, edges, or faces) points are put in a mixture design. In a simplex lattice design, points are arranged in a uniform way (lattice).

Unaugmented - Simplex degree of lattice 1

Lets you fit a linear model.

Unaugmented - Simplex degree of lattice 2

Lets you fit up to a quadratic model.

Unaugmented - Simplex degree of lattice 3

Lets you fit up to a full cubic model.

Augmented - Simplex degree of lattice 1

Lets you partially fit up to a quadratic model.

Augmented - Simplex degree of lattice 2

Lets you partially fit up to a special cubic model.

Augmented - Simplex degree of lattice 3

Lets you fit up to a full cubic model.
