Create one or more columns of random data from a column of data or from a selected data distribution. In Minitab, choose Calc > Random
Data.
To create a random sample from the data in your worksheet, choose Sample From Columns.
To create a random sample from a particular distribution, specify the distribution and the parameters.
Specify the random number generator
Specify a starting point for the random number generator so that you can generate the same set of random data in the future. In Minitab, choose Calc > Set Base.
Calculate PDF, CDF, or inverse CDF for a distribution
Calculate the PDF, CDF, or inverse CDF for the distribution that you choose. In Minitab, choose Calc > Probability Distributions.
