For 2-sample t, the hypotheses are as follows.

Null hypothesis

H₀: μ₁ – μ₂ = δ₀	The difference between the population means (μ₁ – μ₂) equals the hypothesized difference (δ₀).

Alternative hypothesis

Select one of the following alternative hypotheses.

H₁: μ₁– μ₂≠ δ₀	The difference between the population means (μ₁ – μ₂) does not equal the hypothesized difference (δ₀).
H₁: μ₁– μ₂> δ₀	The difference between the population means (μ₁ – μ₂) is greater than the hypothesized difference (δ₀).
H₁: μ₁– μ₂< δ₀	The difference between the population means (μ₁ – μ₂) is less than the hypothesized difference (δ₀).
