This macro generates a Levey-Jennings control chart. You can choose to label the x-axis with values from a column (usually containing dates).

Download the Macro

Be sure that Minitab knows where to find your downloaded macro. Choose File > Options > General. Under Macro location browse to the location where you save macro files.

Important

If you use an older web browser, when you click the Download button, the file may open in Quicktime, which shares the .mac file extension with Minitab macros. To save the macro, right-click the Download button and choose Save target as.

Required Inputs

  • A column of numeric data
  • The mean
  • The standard deviation

Optional Inputs

STAMP C
Use to specify a column containing labels for the x-axis tick marks.

Running the Macro

Suppose C1 contains the data for the control chart. The mean is 0, and the standard deviation is 1.To run the macro, choose View > Command Line/History and type:

%LJCHART C1 0 1

Click Run.
