The following example shows how to calculate the slopes between each possible pair of values from two columns.
Column C3 contains the pairwise slopes. Columns C4 and C5 indicate the row of the values that Minitab uses to calculate the slope. The slope between the points in rows 1 and 3 is undefined because the calculation involves dividing by 0. Because of this, Minitab stores a missing value.
C1 | C2 | C3 | C4 | C5 |
---|---|---|---|---|
3 | 1.1 | 2.22222 | 2 | 1 |
5 | 2.0 | * | 3 | 1 |
2 | 1.1 | 3.33333 | 3 | 2 |
6 | 3.0 | 1.57895 | 4 | 1 |
