For a 1 proportion test, the hypotheses are as follows.

Null hypothesis

H₀: p = p₀	The population proportion (p) equals the hypothesized proportion (p₀).

Alternative hypothesis

Select one of the following alternative hypotheses.

H₁: p ≠ p₀	The population proportion (p) differs from the hypothesized proportion (p₀).
H₁: p > p₀	The population proportion (p) is greater than the hypothesized proportion (p₀).
