Example of Lag

The following example shows how to calculate lags of a column.

  1. Open the sample data, UtilityUsage.MWX.
  2. Choose Stat > Time Series > Lag.
  3. In Series, enter Electric Charges.
  4. In Lags, enter 1 2.
  5. In Store lag columns, select At the end of the current worksheet.
  6. Click OK.

Results

Column C2 contains the time series data that Minitab shifted down by one row. Column C3 contains the times series data that Minitab shifted down by two rows.
