You can save statistics from your analysis to the worksheet so that you can use them in other analyses, graphs, and macros. Minitab stores the selected statistics after the last column of data. The names of the storage columns end with a number that increases as you store the same statistic multiple times.
The statistics that are available for storage depend on the options that you select for the analysis. For more details on any statistics, go to All statistics and graphs.
Statistics that you can store
- Smoothed
data
- Stores the smoothed data, one row for each observation. Minitab stores the values in the column SMOO.
- Level
estimates
- Stores the level estimate (the smoothed value) of each observation, one row for each observation. Minitab stores the values in the column LEVE.
- Trend
estimates
- Stores the trend estimate of each observation, one row for each observation. Minitab stores the values in the column TREN.
- Fits (one-period-ahead
forecasts)
- Stores the predicted value of each observation, which is the sum of the level estimate and the trend estimate of the previous observation, one row for each observation. Minitab stores the values in the column FITS.
- Residuals
- Stores the difference between the actual value and the predicted value, one row for each observation. Minitab stores the values in the column RESI.
- Forecasts
- Stores the forecast for each observation that you specify in Number of
forecasts on the main dialog box, one row for each observation. Minitab stores the values in the column FORE.
- Upper 95% prediction
limits
- Stores the upper 95% prediction limits of the forecasts, one row for each forecast. Minitab stores the values in the column UPPE.
- Lower 95% prediction
limits
- Stores the lower 95% prediction limits of the forecasts, one row for each forecast. Minitab stores the values in the column LOWE.
