You can save statistics from your analysis to the worksheet so that you can use them in other analyses, graphs, and macros. Minitab stores the selected statistics after the last column of data. The names of the storage columns end with a number that increases as you store the same statistic multiple times.
The statistics that are available for storage depend on the options that you select for the analysis. For more details on any statistics, go to All statistics and graphs.
Statistics that you can store
- Trend line
- Stores the values of the trend line, one row for each observation. Minitab stores the values in the column TREN.
- Detrended
data
- Stores the data with the trend component removed. The data still has the seasonal component and error component. Minitab stores the values in the column DETR.
- Seasonals
- Stores the data with the trend component and error component removed. The data still has the seasonal component. Minitab stores the values in the column SEAS.
- Seasonally adjusted
data
- Stores the data with the seasonal component removed. The data still has the trend component and the error component. Minitab stores the values in the column DESE.
- Fits
- Stores the predicted value of each observation, one row for each observation. Minitab stores the values in the column FITS.
- Residuals
- Stores the difference between the observed value and the fits, one row for each observation. Minitab stores the values in the column RESI.
- Forecasts
- Stores the forecast for each observation that you specify in Number of
forecasts on the main dialog box, one row for each observation. Minitab stores the values in the column FORE.
