Stat > Reliability/Survival > Distribution Analysis > Distribution Overview Plot > Options
If you selected an analysis with a nonparametric distribution, then you can specify the following
options.
Estimation Method
Kaplan-Meier: This option is
available for right-censored data and for complete data. Estimate the
parameters using the Kaplan-Meier method. Minitab displays a hazard
function plot and a survival function plot based on Kaplan-Meier
estimates.
Actuarial: This option is
available for all types of censoring. Estimate the parameters using the
actuarial method. Minitab displays a hazard function plot and a survival
function plot based on actuarial estimates. When the data are interval
censored or warranty data, the time intervals are the same as the
intervals in the data. For right-censored or complete data, specify the
time intervals.
Specify time intervals as: 0 to: _
by _
Use equally spaced time intervals. Enter numbers to
indicate the time intervals on the plots. For example,
if you enter 0 to 100 by 20, Minitab plots the results
using the time intervals 0-20, 20-40, and so on, up to
80-100.
Turnbull: This option is available for interval censoring and warranty data.
Estimate the parameters using the Turnbull method. Minitab displays a
survival function plot based on Turnbull estimates.
Display sample plots
Indicate how you want to display the graphs for each sample. You can overlay the
graphs or you can display each graph separately.
Minimum and maximum X scale (optional)
To use default values, do not enter values. Otherwise, enter the minimum and
maximum values for the X scale.
Store transformed warranty data
If the analysis uses warranty data that was a triangular matrix, then you can
store the data as interval censored data for use with Warranty
Prediction.
