Define right censoring for Accelerated Life Test Plan

Stat > Reliability/Survival > Test Plans > Accelerated Life Testing > Right Cens
Type of Censoring
Use the right-censoring options if you test each unit until a preset amount of time elapses (time-censored) or until a preset proportion of failures occur (failure-censored). If the plan has neither right censoring nor interval censoring, then the calculations assume the test runs until all of the units fail. The amount of time or the proportion of failures can differ for each stress level. For more information on right-censored data, go to Data censoring.
  • Time censor for each stress level: Select to test each unit for a preset amount of time, then enter the censoring time for each stress level, in order, from the lowest stress level to the highest stress level. The number of values that you enter must equal the number of test stress levels.
  • Failure censor at percent of units failed for each stress level: Select to test each unit until a preset proportion of failures occur, then enter the percent of failures for each stress level, in order, from the lowest stress level to the highest stress level. The number of values that you enter must equal the number of test stress levels.
