Overview for Binary Fitted Line Plot

Use a binary fitted line plot to display the relationship between one continuous predictor and a binary response. A binary response has two outcomes, such as pass or fail.

For example, a medical researcher wants to examine the relationship between the age that a patient suffers a myocardial infarction and whether the patient has a favorable or an unfavorable outcome after treatment. Because the response is a binary variable and there is only one predictor, the researcher uses a binary fitted line plot.

Where to find this analysis

To create a binary fitted line plot, choose Stat > Regression > Binary Fitted Line Plot.

When to use an alternate analysis

If you have a continuous response, use Fitted Line Plot.
If you have more than one predictor, or have a categorical predictor, use Fit Binary Logistic Model.
