Select the option that best describes your data.
You can use prediction values that are stored in a worksheet, or you can enter individual values. Prediction values do not have to be in the same worksheet as the data that Minitab Statistical Software used to fit the model, but must be in the active worksheet. Select the worksheet that contains the prediction values before you select the Predict button.
Complete the following steps if your prediction values are in columns.
Type | Value |
---|---|
Categorical | Last value of the predictor in the worksheet that Minitab Statistical Software used to fit the model. |
Continuous | Mean of the predictor |
By default, Minitab stores the prediction statistics in the same worksheet as the prediction values.
Complete the following steps if your prediction values are not in columns.
Type | Value |
---|---|
Categorical | Last value of the predictor in the worksheet that Minitab Statistical Software used to fit the model. |
Continuous | Mean of the predictor |
