You can save statistics from your analysis to the worksheet so that you can use them in other analyses, graphs, and macros. Minitab stores the selected statistics in the column that you enter. For more details on any statistics, go to Interpret all statistics and graphs for Principal Components Analysis.
Statistics that you can store
- Coefficients
- Enter the columns to store the coefficients (loadings) of the principal components, one row for each variable and one column for each component. The number of columns that you enter must be less than or equal to the number of principal components calculated.
- Scores
- Enter the columns to store the scores, which are linear combinations of your data using the coefficients. The number of columns that you enter must be less than or equal to the number of principal components calculated. You can use the scores as variables in further analyses.
- Eigenvalues
- Enter a column to store the eigenvalues of the correlation or covariance matrix, one row for each component. Minitab stores the eigenvalues in the column in numerical order, from largest to smallest.
- Distances
- Enter a column to store the Mahalanobis distance, which is the distance between each observation and the center of the data. Each row in the worksheet corresponds with an observation.
