Specify the type of design for Define Custom Split-Plot Design

Stat > DOE > Factorial > Create Factorial Design

Complete the following steps to specify that you want to create a 2-level split-plot design. You can click Display Available Designs to view characteristics of the split-plot designs that Minitab can create.

In Type of Design, select 2-level split-plot (hard-to-change factors).
In Total number of factors, select the total number factors in your design, including hard-to-change factors and easy-to-change factors.
Before Minitab creates the design, you must click Designs to specify other design characteristics.
