Overview for Predict for Fit Mixed Effects Model

Use Predict when you have a mixed effects model and want to predict the value of the response for the combinations of variable settings that you specify.

For example, researchers want to predict the yield of alfalfa plants that have specific characteristics. The researchers previously fit a model to describe how the yield of alfalfa plants relates to variety and the type of field.
