Enter your data to create the Product Report.
Enter the column that contains the number of opportunities.
For more information, go to What is opportunities per unit?.
Enter the column that contains names for the components.
The name column must contain one row for each component. If you do not provide names, Minitab numbers the components.
Enter the column that contains the count of each lower level component that is used to make one higher level component.
For more information, go to What is complexity?.
Enter the Z.Shift values for the components.
You can enter either a single Z.Shift value to use for all components, or a column of Z.Shift values, one for each component. For example, you can use a set of Z.Shift values that you produced with Process Report. The default value is 1.5.
For more information, go to Z.bench as an estimate of sigma capability.
Enter a constant to represent the number of units of combined product.
By default, this value is the smallest number of the high level component that can be made from the observed numbers of lower level components. For example, if you observe 51 pads, 80 backings, 68 pistons, 71 covers, 27 calipers, and 33 rotors, the default number of base units is 25.
