Overview for Calculate Gap Pools

Use Calculate Gap Pools to determine and display the short-term and long-term gap statistics, which are used to assess the potential state of the assembly.

Then you would allocate the calculated gap pools to obtain a long-term Z.Bench of 4.5 for the design. For more information, go to Overview for Allocate Gap Pools.

Minitab calculates statistics that indicate where the assembly stands, relative to the specification limits on the assembly gap. When you do not enter specification limits on the assembly, Minitab assumes a lower specification limit of 0.
