Use Scatterplot to visualize gross margin return on investment versus one continuous variable.

Example

Gross margin return on investment (GMROI) represents the ability to turn inventory into cash above the cost of the inventory. To calculate gross margin return on investment, divide the gross profit by the inventory cost for the same time period.

In this worksheet, GMROI Ratio is the Y variable, and Sales Promotions is the X variable.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then select Launch.
  2. Under Profitability, select Gross margin return on investment.
  3. Select Visualize relationships with gross margin return on investment, then click OK.
  4. Select Scatterplot, then click OK.
  5. In Y variables, enter the column that contains the gross margin return on investment.
  6. In X variables, enter a corresponding column that might explain or predict changes in the gross margin return on investment ratio.
  7. Click OK.
