Example

Gross margin return on investment (GMROI) represents the ability to turn inventory into cash above the cost of the inventory. To calculate gross margin return on investment, divide the gross profit by the inventory cost for the same time period.

In this worksheet, GMROI Ratio is the graph variable. Collection is the categorical variable.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then select Launch.
  2. Under Profitability, select Gross margin return on investment.
  3. Select Visualize relationships with gross margin return on investment, then click OK.
  4. Select Bar Chart: Function of a Variable, then click OK.
  5. From Function, select the function of gross margin return on investment that you want to graph.
  6. In Graph variables (desktop app) or Y-variable (web app), enter the column that contains the gross margin return on investment data.
  7. In Categorical variable, enter the column of categorical data that defines the groups.
  8. Click OK.
