Bar Chart: Function of a Variable for Visualize Relationships With Stock Rotation

Use Bar Chart: Function of a Variable to visualize a function of total or average stock rotation by one categorical variable.

Example

Stock rotation is the number of days until the inventory stock is depleted. To calculate stock rotation, first divide the average inventory value by the total sales for the same time period. Then multiply this ratio by the number of days in the time period.

In this worksheet, Turnover Days is the graph variable. Collection is the categorical variable.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then select Launch.
  2. Under Inventory, select Stock rotation.
  3. Select Visualize relationships with stock rotation, then click OK.
  4. Select Bar Chart: Function of a Variable, then click OK.
  5. From Function, select the function of stock rotation that you want to graph.
  6. In Graph variables (desktop app) or Y-variable (web app), enter the stock rotation column.
  7. In Categorical variable, enter the column of categorical data that defines the groups.
  8. Click OK.
