Scatterplot for Visualize Relationships With Months On Hand

Use Scatterplot to visualize months of available inventory versus one continuous variable.

Example

Months on hand is the number of months of available inventory that exists if no new purchases are made and sales continue as forecasted. To calculate months on hand inventory, divide the value of the inventory by the cost of goods sold. Then multiply by the number of months in the time period.

In this worksheet, Months on Hand is the Y variable, and Sales Promotions is the X variable.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then select Launch.
  2. Under Inventory, select Months on hand.
  3. Select Visualize relationships with months on hand, then click OK.
  4. Select Scatterplot, then click OK.
  5. In Y variables, enter the column that contains the months of inventory data.
  6. In X variables, enter a corresponding column that might explain or predict changes in the available inventory.
  7. Click OK.
