Boxplot for Visualize Days Sales Of Inventory

Use Boxplot to visualize the median and range of days sales of inventory and to identify unusual observations.

Example

Days sales of inventory (DSI) is the average number of days to sell all inventory and WIP (work-in-progress). To calculate days sales of inventory, first divide the value of the inventory by the cost of goods sold. Then multiply this ratio by the number of days in the time period.

In this worksheet, DSI Days is the variable.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then select Launch.
  2. Under Inventory, select Days sales of inventory.
  3. Select Visualize days sales of inventory, then click OK.
  4. Select Boxplot, then click OK.
  5. In Graph variables (desktop app) or Y-variable (web app), enter the column that contains the days sales of inventory data.
  6. Click OK.
