Capability Sixpack: Normal for Decrease Supply Chain Cycle Time

Use Capability Sixpack: Normal to use demonstrate that a process is capable of meeting expectations for supply chain cycle time.

Example

Supply chain cycle time is the length of time to complete an order if inventory levels are zero. Supply chain cycle time includes the amount of time to order, fulfill, and receive the order.

In this worksheet, Cycle Time is the data column.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then select Launch.
  2. Under Cycle Time, select Customer order cycle time.
  3. Select Decrease supply chain cycle time, then click OK.
  4. Select Capability Sixpack: Normal, then click OK.
  5. Under Data are arranged as, select Single column.
  6. In Single column, enter the column that contains the cycle time data.
  7. In Subgroup size, enter 1.
  8. In Upper spec, enter the upper specification limit for supply chain cycle time. This is the highest cycle time that is acceptable to your organization.
  9. Click Transform, select Box-Cox power transformation (W = Y^λ). (This step is not necessary if your cycle times follow a bell-shaped pattern in the histogram.)
  10. Click OK.
