Time Series Plot for Visualize Days Sales Outstanding and Forecast Days Sales Outstanding

Use Time Series Plot to visualize trends in days sales outstanding. Then you can choose between single exponential smoothing and double exponential smoothing to forecast days sales outstanding.

Example

Days sales outstanding (DSO) is the average number of days to collect payment for a sale.

In this worksheet, DSO is the graph variable in time order.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then click Launch.
  2. Under Cycle Time, select Days sales outstanding.
  3. Select Visualize days sales outstanding or Forecast days sales outstanding, then click OK.
  4. Select Time Series Plot, then click OK.
  5. In Series (desktop app) or Y-variable (web app), enter the column that contains the days sales outstanding data.
  6. Click OK.
