Scatterplot for Visualize Relationships With Inventory Carrying Costs

Use Scatterplot to visualize inventory carrying cost versus one continuous variable.

Example

Inventory carrying cost is all the expenses related to the storage of unsold goods. You can record inventory carrying costs as a dollar amount or as a percentage of total inventory over a time period.

In this worksheet, Carrying Costs is the Y variable, and Low Stock Alerts is the X variable.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then select Launch.
  2. Under Costs, select Inventory carrying cost.
  3. Select Visualize relationships with inventory carrying costs, then click OK.
  4. Select Scatterplot, then click OK.
  5. In Y variables, enter the column that contains the inventory carrying cost data.
  6. In X variables, enter a corresponding column that might explain or predict changes in the inventory carrying cost.
  7. Click OK.
