Display Descriptive Statistics for Visualize Inventory Carrying Costs

Use Display Descriptive Statistics to describe the average, range, and distribution curve of inventory carrying costs using graphs and tables.

Example

Inventory carrying cost is all the expenses related to the storage of unsold goods. You can record inventory carrying costs as a dollar amount or as a percentage of total inventory over a time period.

In this worksheet, Carrying Costs contains the inventory carrying costs as a percentage of the total inventory. Product is the optional grouping variable.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then select Launch.
  2. Under Costs, select Inventory carrying cost.
  3. Select Visualize inventory carrying costs, then click OK.
  4. Select Display Descriptive Statistics, then click OK.
  5. In Variables, enter the column that contains the inventory carrying costs.
  6. In By variables (optional), enter the columns that contain the grouping data to explore the differences between the groups.
  7. Click OK.
