Boxplot for Visualize Inventory Carrying Costs

Use Boxplot to visualize the median and range of inventory carrying costs and to identify unusual observations.

Example

Inventory carrying cost is all the expenses related to the storage of unsold goods. You can record inventory carrying costs as a dollar amount or as a percentage of total inventory over a time period.

In this worksheet, Carrying Costs contains the inventory carrying costs as a percentage of the total inventory.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then select Launch.
  2. Under Costs, select Inventory carrying cost.
  3. Select Visualize inventory carrying costs, then click OK.
  4. Select Boxplot, then click OK.
  5. In Graph variables (desktop app) or Y-variable (web app), enter the column that contains the inventory carrying costs.
  6. Click OK.
