Use Heatmap to visualize total supply chain management cost as a proportion of sales by multiple categorical variables.

Example

Total supply chain management cost as a proportion of sales is the total supply chain costs for a specific time period divided by the total sales.

In this worksheet, Total Cost Proportion is the graph variable. Product and Standard Parts are the row variables. Auto Purchase Order and Shipping are the column variables.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Functions > Supply Chain KPIs, then select Launch.
  2. Under Costs, select Cost as a proportion of sales.
  3. Select Visualize relationships with total supply chain management cost as a proportion of sales, then click OK.
  4. Select Heatmap, then click OK.
  5. From Display, select Function of a variable.
  6. In Graph variables enter the column that contains the proportions data.
  7. From Function, select the function of proportion of total cost. For example, if you select Mean, the color gradient of the rectangles in the heatmap uses the mean value of total cost as a proportion of sales in each rectangle.
  8. In Row variables enter up to five columns that define the rows.
  9. In Column variables enter up to five columns that define the columns.
  10. Click OK.
