Type 1 Gage Study for Perform Type 1 Gage Study

Use Type 1 Gage Study to evaluate the capability of a measurement process. This study evaluates the combined effects of bias and repeatability from multiple measurements of one part.

Example

In this worksheet, Measurement contains the measurements of the same part by the same operator.

How-to

Choose Solutions Modules > Capabilities > Measurement System Analysis, then select Launch.
Under Stability Study, select Select a Stability Study.
Select Perform type 1 gage study, then click OK.
Select Type 1 Gage Study, then click OK.
In Measurement data, enter the column that contains the measurement data.
In Reference, enter the known measurement for the single reference part. Ideally, this value is close to the center of the tolerance range for the characteristic that you measure.
Click OK.
