Individuals Chart for Demonstrate Device Stability

Use Individuals Chart to monitor the stability of the mean of measurements. To demonstrate that a measurement device is stable, plot individual measurements of a single part over time.

This example applies to the Measurement System Analysis Module. For more information, go to www.minitab.com/measurement-system-analysis-module.

In this worksheet, Measurement contains the measurements of the same part, in time order.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Capabilities > Measurement System Analysis, then select Launch.
  2. Under Stability Study, select Select a Stability Study.
  3. Select Demonstrate Device Stability, then click OK.
  4. Select Individuals Chart, then click OK.
  5. In Variables enter the column that contains the measurement data.
  6. Click OK.
