Use Gage R&R Study (Nested) to assess the variation in your measurement system when every operator cannot measure all parts.
If you cannot split a sample into four or more subsamples, use a nested study to estimate repeatability and reproducibility. This study is called nested because one or more factors is nested under another factor and, thus, not crossed with the other factors. If you can split a single sample into 4 or more subsamples for multiple operators, use a crossed study, go to Gage R&R Study (Crossed) for Perform Crossed Study.
This example applies to the Measurement System Analysis Module. For more information, go to www.minitab.com/measurement-system-analysis-module.
In this worksheet, Part contains the part number identifiers, Operator contains the operator identifiers, Measurement contains the measurements of each part.
