Scatterplot for Perform Gage Linearity And Bias Study

Use Scatterplot to visualize gage linearity and bias study results. With a scatterplot, you can evaluate the accuracy of a single measurement device across its operating range.

This example applies to the Measurement System Analysis Module. For more information, go to www.minitab.com/measurement-system-analysis-module.

Example

In this worksheet, Measurement is the Y variable and contains the observed measurements. Reference is the X variable and contains the reference values for each part.

C1 C2
Reference Measurement
1.10 1.15
1.20 1.23
1.30 1.31
1.40 1.41
1.10 1.16
1.20 1.24
1.30 1.32

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Capabilities > Measurement System Analysis, then select Launch.
  2. Under Bias Study, select Select a Bias Study.
  3. Select Perform gage linearity and bias study, then click OK.
  4. Select Scatterplot, then click OK.
  5. In Y variables, enter the column that contains the measurement data.
  6. In X variables, enter a corresponding column that contain the reference values.
  7. Click OK.
