Boxplot for Perform Bias Study

Use Boxplot to visualize bias study results. With a boxplot, you can estimate average bias with readings across multiple groups.

Example

In this worksheet, Measurement is the Y variable, and Part and Operator are the categorical variables.

How-to

  1. Choose Solutions Modules > Capabilities > Measurement System Analysis, then select Launch.
  2. Under Bias Study, select Select a Bias Study.
  3. Select Perform bias study, then click OK.
  4. Select Boxplot, then click OK.
  5. In Graph variables (desktop app) or Y-variable (web app), enter the column that contains the measurement data.
  6. To explore groups in your data, do one of the following.
    • In the web app, in Categorical variables (1-4), enter the columns that define the groups.
    • In the desktop app, in Categorical variables for grouping (1-4, outermost first), enter the columns that define the groups.
  7. Click OK.
