Example

In this worksheet, Length of Stay is the response. Cost is a continuous predictor, and Facility is a categorical predictor. The predictors may explain differences in length of stay.

How-to

From the Healthcare KPIs: Predict Length of Stay dialog box, select Fit Regression Model, then click OK.
In Responses, enter the length of stay column. The response is also called the Y variable.
In Continuous predictors, enter the columns of numeric data that may explain or predict changes in length of stay. The predictors are also called X variables.
In Categorical predictors, enter the categorical classifications or group assignments, such as facility, that may explain or predict changes in length of stay. The predictors are also called X variables.
Click OK.
