In this worksheet, Bed Utilization Rate is the graph variable. Facility is the row variable. Department is the column variable.

How-to

  1. From the Healthcare KPIs: Visualize Relationships with Bed Turnaround Time dialog box, select Heatmap, then click OK.
  2. In Graph variables enter the bed utilization rate column.
  3. From Function, select the function of bed utilization rate. For example, if you select Mean, the color gradient of the rectangles in the heatmap will be based on the mean value of bed utilization rate in each rectangle.
  4. In Row variables enter up to five columns that define the rows. You must enter at least one column in either Row variables or Column variables. The columns can be text or numeric and must be the same length as the bed utilization rate column.
  5. In Column variables enter up to five columns that define the columns. You must enter at least one column in either Row variables or Column variables. The columns can be text or numeric and must be the same length as the bed utilization rate column.
  6. Click OK.
