Example

In this worksheet, Rating is the response. Length of Stay is a continuous predictor and Facility is a categorical predictor. The predictors may explain differences in survey response.

How-to

  1. From the Healthcare KPIs: Predict Rating Scale Survey Responses dialog box, select CART® Regression, then click OK.
  2. In Response, enter the survey response column. The response is also called the Y variable.
  3. In Continuous predictors, enter the continuous variables that may explain or predict changes in the survey responses. The predictors are also called X variables.
  4. In Categorical predictors, enter the categorical classifications or group assignments, such as facility, that may explain or predict changes in the survey responses. The predictors are also called X variables.
  5. Click OK.
