Example

In this worksheet, Unpaid Bills Before and Unpaid Bills After contain the number of unpaid bills before and after a process improvement. Number Before and Number After contain the total number of bills due for payment before and after the process improvement. You can enter these observations directly in the dialog box instead of storing them in the Minitab worksheet.

How-to

  1. From the Healthcare KPIs: Decrease Unpaid Medical Bills dialog box, select 2 Proportions, then click OK.
  2. From the drop-down list, select Summarized data.
  3. In Number of events, enter the number of unpaid bills before and after the process improvement.
  4. In Number of trials, enter the total number of bills before and after the process improvement.
  5. Click Options. In Alternative hypothesis, choose Difference > hypothesized difference.
  6. Click OK.
