Example

In this worksheet, Treatment Costs is the response. Patient Age and Number of Procedures are continuous predictors. The predictors may explain differences in treatment costs.

How-to

  1. From the Healthcare KPIs: Predict Treatment Costs dialog box, select Fit Regression Model, then click OK.
  2. In Responses, enter the treatment costs column. The response is also called the Y variable.
  3. In Continuous predictors, enter the columns of numeric data that may explain or predict changes in treatment costs. The predictors are also called X variables.
  4. In Categorical predictors, enter the categorical classifications or group assignments, such as facility, that may explain or predict changes in treatment costs. The predictors are also called X variables.
  5. Click OK.
