In this worksheet, Treatment Costs is the response. Patient Age and Number of Procedures are continuous predictors. The predictors may explain differences in treatment costs.

How-to

From the Healthcare KPIs: Predict Treatment Costs dialog box, select CART® Regression, then click OK.
In Response, enter the treatment costs column. The response is also called the Y variable.
In Continuous predictors, enter the continuous variables that may explain or predict changes in treatment costs. The predictors are also called X variables.
In Categorical predictors, enter the categorical classifications or group assignments, such as facility, that may explain or predict changes in treatment costs. The predictors are also called X variables.
Click OK.
