Example

In this worksheet, Reimbursement Amount is the response. Hospitalization Days and Number of Procedures are continuous predictors. The predictors may explain differences in the reimbursement amount.

How-to

From the Healthcare KPIs: Predict Reimbursement Amounts dialog box, select Fit Regression Model, then click OK.
In Responses, enter the reimbursement amount column. The response is also called the Y variable.
In Continuous predictors, enter the columns of numeric data that may explain or predict changes in the reimbursement amount. The predictors are also called X variables.
In Categorical predictors, enter the categorical classifications or group assignments, such as facility, that may explain or predict changes in the reimbursement amount. The predictors are also called X variables.
Click OK.
