Example

In this worksheet, Number Denied contains the number of denied claims each week. Number of Claims contains the total number of claims each week. Each row summarizes one week of data and represents a subgroup.

How-to

  1. From the Healthcare KPIs: Visualize Claim Denials dialog box, select P Chart, then click OK.
  2. In Variables, enter the column that contains the number of denied claims. Each row contains the number of claim denials over a specific time period, such as one week or one month.
  3. In Subgroup sizes, enter the column that contains the total number of claims over the same time period.
  4. Click OK.
