Use Format Column to specify how a column of data is displayed in the worksheet. The following worksheet contains examples of different column display formats. C1–C5 are numeric formats, C6–C8 are date/time formats, and C9 is text format.

You can use Format Column to change the data type. For example, if you specify a numeric format for a text column, the text values are converted to numeric values. For more information, go to Minitab data types and formats.
To format a column, click in the column, right-click, and choose Format Column.
