Hypotheses for Mann-Whitney Test

For a Mann-Whitney test, the hypotheses are as follows.
Null hypothesis
H0: η1 = η2 The median of the first population (η1) equals the median of the second population (η2).
Alternative hypothesis
Select one of the following alternative hypotheses.
H1: η1 ≠ η2 The median of the first population (η1) does not equal the median of the second population (η2).
H1: η1 > η2 The median of the first population (η1) is greater than the median of the second population (η2).
H1: η1 < η2 The median of the first population (η1) is less than the median of the second population (η2).
